I Do Not Care What Happens At Real Madrid - Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that Real Madrid will have an "incredible team" next season but says that he does not care what happens there.
The Portuguese winger has been linked with a move to Madrid for some time but it appears that he will be staying with Manchester United for at least another season after previous comments in the press.
Nevertheless, he was asked about Madrid in an interview with Antena 3 and acknowledged that if Florentino Perez does take over as president, they could assemble a decent team.
"I'm sure Perez would create an incredible team at Madrid but at the moment I'm at United and I don't care about what happens there. I only care about what will happen next season at Manchester United," he said.
Regarding rumours linking him to Madrid, Ronaldo says that he is getting used to distancing himself from them.
"At home there are no newspapers, we do not get them, in Spain it is harder because the papers always speak about these things. I am a little more distanced from those things, I am relaxed doing my work and playing and giving my best," he mused.
The Portuguese star also spoke today about the upcoming final between Manchester United and Barcelona, which he says he is fully focused on.
"I am concentrating on the final, not worrying what else is going to happen with my team-mates or the coach, I am not worried about that now. It is the final the fans dream of because they have always wanted to see these two teams there," he explained.
"It's clear that we are the two best teams in Europe. Not only because we are in the final but also because of the football we have played this season and for the trophies we have won."
The winger also praised Barcelona, saying they are "playing fantastic" and refusing to speak of a direct battle with Lionel Messi.
"It is not only Messi, also [Samuel] Eto'o, who is scoring a lot, [Thierry] Henry, Xavi, [Andres] Iniesta. You cannot just speak about one player," he concluded. Goal.com
