Julien Faubert: Nobody At Real Madrid Tells Me Why I’m Not Playing

Real Madrid have often been criticised for their lack of proper communication throughout the chain of command and the latest player to experience that frustration is latest arrival, Julien Faubert.

The Frenchman was signed from West Ham United during the January transfer window on loan until the end of this campaign and despite being registered for Los Blancos’ Champions League squad, he as only featured once so far in the white shirt; a substitute’s appearance in the 1-0 win over Racing Santander earlier this month.

But it’s not the lack of match time which is leaving him exasperated.

“It’s very hard to live like this because no one at the club tells me why I am not playing, and I don’t know who to go to to enquire about it” he said in an interview with French paper, L’Equipe.

“I have to play in order to adapt. My team-mates are already understanding my game more and more. They know I like to have open spaces. I also believe that I have improved technically and physically,” he added.

The 25-year-old right wing-back will be hoping to see some game time this Saturday when Real Madrid take on Espanyol at the Montjuic. Goal
